Hero Electric, a division of Hero Exports, is on verge of re-defining the future of automobile transportation. The vision is to create an economically viable, noise and pollution free environment. Rockman Industries Ltd, was set up in 1960, for production of bicycle chains in India. In 1996, with the help of Japanese Technology, the plant was expanded for the manufacture of automotive chains. Sheet metal plant.
Satyam Auto Components was set up in 2001 as an integrated sheet metal plant. It has complete facilities for blanking, drawing, trimming and welded assemblies and welded chassis. It is supplying basically to automotive OEMs. The products include motorcycle fuel tanks, tubular frames, front and rear mudguards etc. There are 6 presses in 350-500 ton range from Aida, Japan and Taiwan. |
Aluminum Die Casting and Machining
Sunbeam Auto Ltd, established in 1987, is the largest Aluminium Die Casting Unit in Asia manufacturing High Pressure Die Casting, Low Pressure Die Casting and Gravity Die Casting components. It has a technical collaboration with M/s Honda Foundry Co. Ltd, Japan. for the manufacture of Pistons. Today, Sunbeam Auto Ltd is the supplier to renowned OE manufacturers and has won various awards like Best Supplier award by Visteon Powertain in 2001- 02 and Maruti Vendor Performance award. |
Metals
Metals Comprehending the significance of ensuring perfect quality of the basic raw material, the HERO Group established its own rolling mill for steel processing in 1990. As a distinctive effort of the HERO Group towards backward integration, the company was commissioned with a production capacity of 50,000 MT per annum. Over the years the company has grown and possesses an installed capacity of 1, 30,000 MT per annum. This was made possible particularly with the installation of an additional 6-Hi Cold Reduction Mill, based on a joint engineering and design by MECON and Hero Cycles Ltd, along with hydrogen annealing.

Product Availability
We manufacture CR strips with grades of mild steel in Drawing, Deep Drawing, Extra Deep Drawing, in Medium and High Carbon, SAE 1020, SAE 1040, SAE 1045, SAE 1050, SAE 1080, Cortton Steel and IF Steel. We have an installed production capacity of 1300000 TPA which can process Strip thickness from 0.15mm to 5.00 mm and width of 16mm to 760 mm.
Products are available in coil form as well as in sheets with lengths of 3500 mm Max.

Galvanised Steel in plain and Corrugated Galvanised Sheets.
We process steel in a highly automated hot dip process to galvanise it. Stringent quality principles are followed to ensure that the finished product is free from galvanising defects like white rust and zinc peel off.
Our products mostly conform to IS 277/85 and JIS 3302 1987.
